Typically playing in a central/attacking midfield role alongside his partner in crime Xavi Hernandez, he typifies the Catalonian approach to football with laser designated passing ability, supreme confidence on the ball and instinctive spatial awareness. Geometry, and more precisely triangles, are a a key component in the way Barcelona play their football. By constructing them in a fluid way, where the usage of space is a priority, defending or attacking against them becomes a difficult/ neigh on impossible task. I wanted this to shine through on the piece and in the process give it a constructivist feel. The building in the background is the now closed "La Masia" or in english, "The Farmhouse". With this vector piece I wanted to encapsulate his achievements and work ethic at the club with which he has spent his entire career. Giggs is the most decorated player in English football history. During his time at United, he has won 12 Premier League winner's medals, four FA Cup winner's medals, four League Cup winner's medals and two Champions League winner's medals. He has two runner-up medals from the Champions League, three FA Cup finals and two League Cup finals, as well as being part of the team five times when it finished second in the Premier League. In recent years, Giggs has captained the team on numerous occasions, particularly in the 2007–08 season when regular captain Gary Neville was ruled out with various injuries. This updated vector print commemorates Giggs's 1000th senior appearance, where on the 5th of March 2013, he played against Real Madrid CF at Old Trafford in the UCL round of sixteen. Although unfortunate to be on the losing side, he showed once again the composure, pace and quality on the ball that have made him a united legend.
